  8. Main Duties and Responsibilities
  9. Instruction and ELL Team Support
  10. Support ELL Teachers during push-in and pull-out instructional sessions.
  11. Lead small-group pull-out instruction (e.g., WIN groups) using provided plans across Grades 1–5.
  12. Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce language learning goals, vocabulary development, and classroom tasks.
  13. Support students with diverse academic language needs.
  14. Maintain strong classroom management and engagement during small-group instruction.
  15. Assist students in understanding ELL support routines and expectations in age-appropriate ways.
  16. Help students develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.
  17. Supporting Students in and out of the classroom setting
  18. Help students develop organization, independence, and age-appropriate academic routines.
  19. Support student engagement, positive behavior, and confidence in classroom and small-group settings.
  20. Assist ELL teachers with the preparation, organization, and adaptation of instructional materials.
  21. Supervise students during transitions, learning activities, and ELL-related sessions as needed.
  22. Support a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for young multilingual learners.
  23. Collaboration and Professional Practice
  24. Proactively check in with ELL teachers and team leader to identify needs.
  25. Contribute to team efficiency through strong follow-through and responsiveness.
  26. Share observations about student progress, language development, and needs with the ELL Teachers.
  27. Participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional learning as required, with a focus on improving practice.
  28. Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, families, and colleagues.
  29. Demonstrate professionalism in attendance, punctuality, conduct, and confidentiality.
  30. Assist with administrative and organizational tasks related to ELL services, including preparation of materials, assessment support, and documentation.
  31. Systems and Program Support
  32. Maintain and update ELL documentation systems, including spreadsheets (e.g., language profiles, WIN groups, tracking data).
  33. Prepare, organize, and manage instructional materials (printing, copying, digital files).
  34. Maintain and organize shared folders, files, and resources for the ELL team.
  35. Support team efficiency by anticipating logistical needs and ensuring materials and systems are ready in advance.
  36. Certifications and Education
  37. Required
  38. High school diploma or equivalent.
  39. Desired
  40. Coursework or degree in Education, English, Linguistics, TESOL, Pedagogy, or a related field.
  41. Training or experience working with multilingual learners or elementary-aged students.

  44. Experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth-focused setting.
  45. Ability to collaborate with teachers and staff in support of student learning.

  51. Required
  52. Proficiency in English.

  56. Strong communication skills and a supportive, developmentally responsive approach.
  57. Ability to manage small groups of students independently with appropriate classroom management
  58. Organizational and data management skills (e.g., spreadsheets, tracking systems)
  59. Comfort with basic educational technology tools
